Strong Legs, Strong Life

Your legs support you every single day. They help you walk, climb stairs, and move through life with confidence and ease. Strong legs are also the foundation of traditional Chinese martial arts and healthy aging.

In this special workshop with Master David Wei and Holly Tse, you’ll learn the horse-riding stance used in kung fu. While this standing practice has roots in ancient martial arts, its application goes well beyond combat.

It’s a way to strengthen your physical body, rejuvenate and replenish your life force, and also harmonize your body, mind, and spirit.

Please note that you do not need martial arts experience for this workshop, and all fitness levels are welcome.

In Strong Legs, Strong Life, Master David Wei will guide you through the horse-riding stance in an easy, approachable, and fun way so that you can build and maintain muscle for better balance, stability, and healthy aging. This simple standing practice can be adapted to different fitness levels and practiced anywhere, making it an easy fit for everyday life. No fancy equipment or gym membership required!

In addition to strengthening your muscles, you’ll be activating key energy meridians in your legs, including the most vital organs and channels for long-term health and vitality.

Discover how this simple standing practice can help you:

  • Build and maintain muscle mass
  • Improve balance, stability, and mobility
  • Discover why Traditional Chinese Medicine views the legs as your foundation for strength, good energy flow, and long-term wellness
  • Support healthier aging, resilience, and overall vitality
  • Feel more grounded and connected with your body

Master David Wei will give you a step-by-step breakdown of the horse-riding stance so that you work at a comfortable and safe pace for you. In addition, Holly Tse will teach you the Traditional Chinese Medicine theory behind this practice, helping you better understand your body, and make more informed choices that support your overall well-being, long-term vitality, and resilience.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You’d like to build and maintain muscle as you age while supporting your body’s qi (life force energy and vitality)
  • You want to improve your balance, stability, and mobility so you can continue enjoying the activities you love, and move through life with ease and confidence
  • You’re looking for a simple and practical way to support healthy aging and long-term wellness
  • You’d like to feel stronger, more grounded, and more resilient in body, mind, and spirit
  • You’re curious about traditional Chinese martial arts, but would prefer a gentle and supportive introduction rather than jumping into a Kung Fu class
  • You enjoy learning about Traditional Chinese Medicine and want to better understand your body and what it needs to thrive

Stronger muscles and good energy flow help you stay healthy, resilient, and active for years to come. Join us for this practical and empowering workshop to learn this ancient practice for harmonizing your body, mind, and spirit.

Frequently Asked Questions

The workshop recording will be posted in the online learning center within 3 days of the live event. Your access to the recording does not expire. You’ll have access to the course in the online learning center for an indefinite period of time. That’s technically, “lifetime access,” but Holly isn’t the biggest fan of this phrase (even though it’s the easiest one to understand) because she used to work in high tech. As a result, she knows that it’s impossible for anyone to guarantee lifetime access. E.g. Whose lifetime? Yours or hers? In addition, technology is always changing so what we use today to view videos may become obsolete.

However, you’ll have access to the course for as long as Holly is teaching Chinese Reflexology, which she expects to be many years.
